Shantel Thomas brings veteran size, inside presence, and underrated guard skills to Pacific
Shantel Thomas was a 6-foot-4 forward/center recruit for Pacific who entered with a reputation as a strong interior presence, plus unusual perimeter touch and passing for her size. In high school, she was a NorCal Hoops top-10 senior and averaged 13.0 points and 6.3 rebounds as a senior at Sacramento High, with earlier stretches showing even bigger production. Her fit is obvious: rebound, defend, and punish mismatches, while giving a coach lineups with more length and versatility. The biggest selling point is her blend of athleticism and skill—exactly the kind of big who makes a roster harder to game-plan for.
