Nick Sotta’s SMU edge: steady leg, win-now reliability
Nick Sotta is listed by SMU as a place kicker and is part of a Mustangs special teams unit that helped open the 2026 season with a 27-24 win at Florida State[1][2]. Publicly available team stats show SMU was perfect on PATs in that opener, a good sign for kicking-game dependability[3][4]. The bigger fit question is simple: if you want a kicker who can stay composed in pressure spots and keep drives clean with consistent points, Sotta belongs on the radar—but there isn’t much detailed public stat volume yet to over-analyze[1][3].
