Ashleigh Cooper brings old-school paint grit to Sam Houston
Ashleigh Cooper is a 6-1 center/forward for Sam Houston who was described as a true freshman as aggressive on the boards, tireless, and able to score both in the post and from the perimeter. The biggest reason to care about her is the two-way fit: she gives the Bearkats a hard-nosed interior presence with hustle, versatility, and a workhorse mentality that coaches love. If your team wants a forward who does the dirty work, competes possession to possession, and doesn’t mind mixing it up, Cooper is the kind of glue player who can quietly raise a roster’s toughness.
