Amber Howard brings steady guard play and veteran edge to South Carolina State
Amber Howard has been a reliable backcourt contributor for South Carolina State, with career production centered on scoring, playmaking, and perimeter shooting; in her South Carolina State career, she averaged 8.5 points, 2.4 assists, and shot 33.2% from three.[7] In the 2024-25 season, ESPN listed her at 8.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, which points to a guard who can handle the ball and keep the offense organized.[1] The differentiator is her experience and poise: she’s a compact, older guard who has shown she can create in key moments, including a 17-point game and clutch late scoring in South Carolina State’s MEAC play.[2][12] If your team needs a composed, multi-use guard rather than a pure volume scorer, she fits the bill.
