Gardner-Webb's Athletic Senior Wing Doubling Minutes with Defensive Fire
Sarah Matthews, a 5'8" senior guard for Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, has doubled her minutes per game in the 2025-26 season as a veteran wing, showcasing elite athleticism and tenacious on-ball defense that disrupts opponents—ideal for teams needing high-energy perimeter stoppers. Majoring in computer science, her disciplined mindset translates to court intensity, making her a low-risk, high-IQ fit for programs valuing multi-tool contributors over pure scorers; no notable injury history, just steady rise from limited high school stats to Big South reliability.
