Baylor's Intense, All-Around Guard with Elite Steal-to-Assist Ratio
Ishmail Wainright, nicknamed 'Ish,' is a 6'5", 240-lb guard for the Baylor Bears who averaged 5.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game as a junior, with a standout 2.6 steals per game in his senior year. His differentiator is his relentless intensity and defensive prowess—he posted multiple assists in 23 games and maintained a 2:1 assist-to-steal ratio, reflecting his dual threat as a playmaker and stopper. Though he has no major injury history, his physicality (240 lbs at 6'5") and high-effort personality make him a perfect fit for teams needing grit, versatility, and a guard who can guard multiple positions. You should care because he brings more than stats: he brings heart, hustle, and a rare blend of size and speed that elevates any lineup.
