Mike Jones Gives UMass a Versatile, Experienced Backcourt Spark
Mike Jones brings Massachusetts a mature, multi-positional guard who can score, rebound, and do the gritty connective work that helps winning teams click. In the 2025-26 season at Alcorn State, he has averaged 3.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 39.1% from the field, showing the kind of all-around, low-drama production coaches love. His appeal goes beyond the box score: Jones is a physical 6-foot-6 guard/forward who can guard multiple spots and provide size on the wing, making him a useful fit for a team that values toughness and lineup flexibility.
