steady two-way Iona guard with academic-star DNA
Naeemah Ricketts was a dependable Iona guard who finished her career with 298 points, 264 rebounds, 113 assists and 92 steals in 108 games, and she stood out as a high-character, high-academic player who earned Iona’s Scholar Athlete Award and multiple MAAC all-academic honors[15][4]. In the 2008-09 season, she also had nights where she contributed efficiently in the scoring column, including an 11-point outing against Saint Peter’s, while her long-running reputation was built on toughness, reliability and doing the little things that help a team win[5][2].
