Miles Capers brings veteran pass-rush juice to Vanderbilt's front seven
Capers is a disruptive, high-motor edge/LB who finished the 2025 season with 40 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, showing he can finish plays behind the line and force offenses to account for him on obvious passing downs.[3][1] At 6'4" and 249 pounds, he combines length with solid burst and awareness, and Vanderbilt’s own coverage of him points to an improved frame and a player who has stood out in a sixth-year role.[14][18][5] He looks like a strong fit for a team that wants experience, toughness and proven backfield disruption more than raw splash-play flash.[3][16]
