Arkansas State LB Who Translated College Grit to CFL Prodigy
Melique Straker, a 5'10" 184-lb linebacker from Arkansas State (2021–2023), is now a CFL standout for the Saskatchewan Roughriders after being drafted 32nd overall in 2024. His differentiator is elite intensity and speed-to-tackle: in 2025, he recorded 4 solo tackles and 1 interception in 13 games, proving he thrives under pressure. Known for his relentless personality and quick reflexes, Straker brings a high-intensity, data-driven mindset that makes him a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, pro-ready LB.
