UNC CB Who Started All 12 Games, Led Team in Interceptions, and Delivered Calm, Confident Coverage
Jacoby Watkins isn’t just a stat sheet CB—he’s the calm, confident anchor of UNC’s defense who started all 12 games in the 2025 season, tied for fourth on the team with 61 tackles, and led the squad with two interceptions [6]. His differentiator? Intensity without recklessness: he reads routes like a veteran, stays locked in after contact, and never lets a play slip due to emotion [2]. No injury history, full-season durability, and a personality that elevates teammates under pressure make him a perfect fit for any team needing a reliable, high-intensity CB who thrives in big moments. You should care because he’s the guy you trust when the game’s on the line [2][6].
