proven Butler guard-turned-forward with playmaking polish
Allie Schmidt looks like a versatile, high-IQ wing who can add ball handling and playmaking to Butler’s frontcourt, but the available public data is thin on current 2026 production. Career profile data shows an earlier guard background and a knack for facilitating, so the appeal is her multipositional fit, not just box-score stuffing. If Butler is asking for a smart connector who competes and makes teammates better, Schmidt is the kind of adaptable piece worth a close look.
