Destin Gainer brings length, edge pressure upside, and developmental value to New Mexico’s defensive front
Destin Gainer is an intriguing New Mexico defensive end with clear upside as a disruptive edge player; public profiles identify him as a Lobos DE, while his earlier Reedley College film indicates a developmental path that often rewards motor, leverage, and coachability over pure box-score stats. He’s worth watching if you want a player who could grow into a useful rotational piece with added strength and technique, especially in a system that values physicality and effort off the edge. Reliable public stat and scouting detail is limited, so the best read is that he’s a project with potential rather than a finished product.
