Jester Weah was Pitt’s big-play receiver machine
In the 2016 season, Jester Weah led Pittsburgh with 36 catches, 870 yards, and 10 touchdowns, then followed with 41 catches for 698 yards in 2017 while serving as a team captain. His calling card was explosive downfield production: he averaged 24.2 yards per catch in 2016, led the ACC in that category, and ranked second nationally. That tells you the fit right away — he was a vertical threat with legit field-stretching speed, a confidence player who could flip a game with one route, and a strong locker-room presence, too.
