In the 2025-26 season, Trevin Jirak has been a low-usage depth big for Iowa, posting 3.4 points, 0.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 47.4% shooting, but his real value is in his size, feel and polish for a true freshman center.[4] The 6-foot-11 West Des Moines native arrives with a strong resume from Valley High, where he helped win three Class 4A state titles and put up 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a recruit.[2][1] He looks like a fit for programs that want a smart, fundamentally sound interior player who can grow into more responsibility rather than a raw rim-runner.[1][2]
