veteran, high-motor defender with proven disruption value
Jacob Lacey is a former Oklahoma State cornerback profile, but the most relevant recent football context points to a different Jacob Lacey who played defensive line and was a steady, physical presence: in the 2023 season, he appeared in all 13 games, started the final 11 regular-season games, and produced 17 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and a fumble recovery. He stands out for toughness, versatility, and reliable snap-to-snap effort rather than flashy box-score volume, and his background suggests a player-coach mentality that teammates can trust.
