a sturdy, dependable defensive line piece with proven college production
Wertz is a **2-star defensive tackle recruit** who showed early college reliability at Nicholls, appearing in all 11 games in the 2012 season and finishing with **14 tackles** and a career-best **5 tackles at Central Arkansas**.[2][6] High school and recruiting notes describe him as a **tough, strong defensive lineman**, which fits a player who can bring physicality and interior depth rather than headline-grabbing splash plays.[5] If you want a line prospect with a blue-collar profile, steady availability, and some proven game reps, he looks like a sensible depth fit.[2][5][6]
