Ball-hawking, all-conference corner with proven production
Jayden Dawson arrives at Montana with a track record of making plays: at Idaho State, he ranked second in the Big Sky with 13 passes defended and added 2 interceptions while also finishing as the team’s fourth-leading tackler with 54 stops, signaling a physical, versatile CB who can cover and support the run. He was also a four-time all-conference honoree and helped anchor a defense that ranked among the nation’s best at San Diego State in 2025, which suggests high-level football IQ, discipline, and competitive consistency. He looks like a fit for a team that values sticky coverage, toughness, and reliable veteran leadership.[6][1]
