Iona Gaels' Gritty Undersized Guard from 2005-06 Era
Kenny Dagostino, a 6-1 senior guard for the Iona Gaels in the 2005-06 season, overcame small stature with big-game intensity, posting modest 0.3 PPG, 0.1 REB, and 0.1 AST on 18.2% FG in limited minutes per ESPN stats—yet his high school pedigree shines, earning Northeast-10 Player of the Year honors after averaging 17 PPG and 4.8 APG as a junior, per Altamont Enterprise. Known for turning programs around as a later coach, Dagostino's differentiator is relentless drive and playmaking smarts; care because he embodies the heart-over-height archetype—perfect fit for teams needing tough, IQ-driven bench spark.
