6-foot-1 freshman lefty bringing heat for UMass
Kelsey Blanchette is a freshman pitcher for Massachusetts who arrived with a decorated Massachusetts high school résumé and size-speed upside that scouts love. In the 2026 season, she has already flashed real impact, including a first career shutout against Kansas and multiple wins in the circle, showing she can handle big-game innings and rebound after rough outings. Her value is in the combo: a long, physical frame, early-command ceiling, and the kind of competitive edge that helped Lincoln-Sudbury reach its first-ever Division 1 Final Four. If your team wants a high-upside, in-state arm with frontline potential, she’s worth the hype.
