the physical Weber State linebacker who fits the blue-collar mold
Matt Rickards has shown up in Weber State’s historical stat logs as an active defensive contributor, and the profile that stands out is toughness, consistency, and a no-nonsense style rather than flashy splash plays. He’s the kind of linebacker you’d want if you value reliable run support, effort, and an old-school, high-intensity identity. One important note: the available public info is thin on recent college-level stat detail, so this is more of a fit-and-style read than a deep current-production scouting report. If your team wants a dependable, physical linebacker who can bring edge and accountability, Rickards looks like a sensible fit.
