Experienced Cal QB with size, poise, and a backup role
Austin Hinder, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, was a senior at California and spent much of his Cal career in a reserve role behind Jared Goff, with limited game action across the 2013 and 2014 seasons.[1][4][5] His appeal is straightforward: he brings prototypical size, veteran familiarity with the program, and the kind of steadiness coaches value in a depth-chart quarterback, but the statistical profile suggests he was more of a developmental/insurance option than a high-volume production driver.[1][3][9][15]
