Reliable TCU QB Who Got the Job Done Early 2000s
Sean Stilley was a solid, dependable quarterback for TCU in the early 2000s who prioritized winning over flash. The junior signal-caller earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Frogs to a dominant 38-20 victory over Army in 2001, throwing three touchdown passes and adding a rushing TD. Scouts appreciated his substance and rock-solid decision-making rather than highlight-reel athleticism. Stilley's game-management skills and ability to step in and produce wins made him a valued leader, though his departure opened the door for his successor. Best fit for programs valuing consistency and clutch performance over pure arm talent.
