CSU’s former walk-on-turned-record-setter was a clutch, high-volume weapon at kicker
In the 2014 season, Jared Roberts was one of Colorado State’s most valuable specialists, going 12-for-20 on field goals and 57-for-58 on PATs while finishing with 93 points; in the 2013 season, he was even more explosive, hitting 21-of-24 field goals and 58-of-58 extra points. What makes him stand out is the rare combo of long-range confidence, volume, and poise under pressure—he also set the CSU and Mountain West record with 111 consecutive PATs and became the most accurate kicker in school history. A former walk-on who earned a scholarship, Roberts looks like the kind of dependable, no-drama kicker coaches love.
