Kent State's Unsung DB Enforcer
J.J. Pankewicz, Kent State Golden Flashes' versatile defensive back, stands out with his football IQ and physicality in run support, logging 52 tackles, 3 INTs, and 7 PBUs in the 2025 season per official MAC stats—key in holding opponents to 24.8 PPG. His differentiator? Relentless intensity and quick recovery from a minor 2024 ankle sprain, earning scout praise for 'blue-collar grit' from 247Sports analysts. Ideal fit for teams needing a smart, high-motor DB who thrives in zone schemes without flashy stats stealing the show.
