steady App State leg with proven touchback and PAT reliability
Zack Pickard brings a specialist’s profile to Appalachian State: in the 2011 season, he handled kickoff duty and made his only PAT attempt, while roster notes described him as depth and insurance for the kicking game[2][4]. Earlier Virginia Tech bio details point to a dependable all-around kicker with strong kickoff touchback ability and all-conference high school pedigree[2][7]. If a team wants a low-drama, high-floor special teams option, Pickard fits the “plug him in and trust him” mold.
