experienced Rice CB with pro-level pedigree, but availability has been the question
McFarquhar is a former Ohio State graduate transfer whose biggest appeal is his **experience** and **length/size at 5'10", 188 lbs**, giving Rice a veteran corner with Power Four pedigree and familiarity with high-level competition. He was sidelined by injuries in 2023 and did not play, so the key question is health and game readiness rather than raw talent. If he’s fully available, he profiles as a disciplined, battle-tested fit who can raise the floor of a secondary; if not, the upside is limited by durability uncertainty.
