Eli Solem gives UC Davis a sturdy, projectable right-handed arm with freshman upside
In the 2026 season, Eli Solem has worked as a freshman RHP for UC Davis, getting early-season bullpen and spot-start looks against strong competition, including Texas, San Francisco, Santa Clara and Sacramento State. He’s listed at 6'3", 210 lbs and brings the kind of frame and power-pitcher build that coaches love to dream on, with enough usage already to suggest the staff trusts him in meaningful innings. The downside: his early 2026 line shows some freshman volatility, so he looks more like a developmental fit than an instant plug-and-play ace.
