Owen Luchies is a veteran LIU righty with a strong junior-college track record, but still searching for college consistency
In the 2026 season, Owen Luchies gave LIU a bullpen spark and picked up his first win, but his college line still shows high-variance results, including a rough 2025 debut season with a 21.86 ERA in 7.0 innings. What makes him interesting is the upside: LIU brought him in after he posted a 6-0 record and 1.51 ERA over 65.2 innings at Lower Columbia College, and he’s now a senior arm with proven stamina and experience. If you need a competitive, older pitcher who has already shown he can dominate a lower level and has room to settle in, he’s worth a hard look.
