Western Carolina K Josh Jones brings a proven leg and roster-value upside
Josh Jones profiles as a high-upside specialist if Western Carolina needs consistency in the kicking game: he’s a pure kicker with the kind of role-specific value that often shows up in field-goal confidence, kickoff duty, and late-game reliability more than flashy box-score stats. The main reasons to care are fit and dependability—kickers are judged on accuracy, touch, and nerves, not volume—and Jones is the type of player coaches typically want if they’re looking to stabilize special teams rather than gamble on upside alone.
