Florida Atlantic’s Ro Hayes: a freshman guard with upside and local roots
Ro Hayes is a 5-7 freshman guard from Rockledge, Florida, and brings a local, development-friendly profile to Florida Atlantic’s women’s basketball roster in the 2025 season[1]. Her main appeal is guard versatility and long-term upside: she’s young, quick, and close enough to home to settle in without a huge adjustment, which can matter a lot for a player’s growth arc. If you’re looking for an immediate stat-stuffer, the public profile doesn’t show that yet; if you want a compact, energetic backcourt piece with room to grow, Hayes is the kind of under-the-radar flyer worth watching[1].
