Zach McDonnell brings disruptive interior production to NAU’s defensive front
In the 2024 season, Zach McDonnell appeared in seven games for Northern Arizona, made one start, posted 16 tackles, and added four tackles for loss, showing real splash-play ability from the defensive line.[2] His value goes beyond raw tackle totals: the TFL production suggests he can penetrate and impact plays in the backfield, which is a useful trait for teams looking for an energetic DL who can create negative-yardage snaps.[2] Based on his 2024 usage, he looks like a rotational defender with upside if he continues to develop consistency and snap-to-snap impact.[2]
