In-state linebacker with pop, instinct, and edge — but no longer on Auburn’s roster
In the 2024 season, Barber was a true freshman linebacker for Auburn who appeared in one game, after arriving as a January enrollee and a three-star in-state prospect. He brought a high football IQ, downhill production from Clay-Chalkville, and a do-everything profile: as a senior he posted 152 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and an interception. The catch? He was removed from Auburn’s team in July 2025 after a rules violation, so the fit question is now off the field as much as on it.
