Ryan McGarry brings redshirt-freshman size and developmental upside to Illinois State’s offensive line
Ryan McGarry is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound offensive lineman from Oak Brook, Illinois, listed as a redshirt freshman for Illinois State in 2026, with roster and stat pages showing no varsity game statistics yet. His value is in projection: he has the frame to add good mass, fits the Redbirds’ physical identity, and looks like a developmental OL who could become a sturdy interior piece if his technique and power keep coming. If you want an immediate plug-and-play star, he’s not that yet; if you want a long-term trench project with upside, McGarry is worth watching.
