Will Bowers gives Maryland size and energy, but his role is still modest
In the 2025-26 season, Will Bowers has been a low-usage Maryland center, contributing 2.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 40.7% from the field, which suggests his value is more about depth, size, and rotational reliability than scoring punch.[3][2][6] The upside is his profile as a true interior big who can give the Terrapins presence in the paint, but the current production says he is best viewed as a developmental fit rather than an impact starter right now.[3][6]
