Nebraska's Dynamic Dual-Threat Back (2006)
Jackson was a versatile offensive weapon for the Cornhuskers, finishing 5th in Big 12 rushing (70.6 ypg) and 3rd in all-purpose yards (104.2 ypg) during the 2006 season. The explosive freshman recorded four 100-yard rushing games, including a career-high 182 yards against Oklahoma State, while adding 33 receptions for 313 yards. His 41 all-purpose attempts against Colorado set a Nebraska single-game record. Despite a hand injury in the Big 12 Championship Game, Jackson demonstrated elite versatility—a rare combination of power running and receiving ability that made him a nightmare matchup for defenses.
