David Filippi brings blue-collar toughness, but his Kent State impact is dated
Filippi’s available Kent State profile shows a hard-working, high-heart defender who “plays every down like it’s his last,” with early-career production that included 10 tackles and a sack in one season. The biggest takeaway is intangibles: effort, edge, and a reputation for earning trust, not splashy modern stat lines. The catch? The public record here is old, so he reads more like a former program grinder than a current, verified DL impact player for 2026. Good fit if you value motor and reliability; less so if you need fresh production proof.
