Peter Riley brings depth and local upside to FIU’s secondary
Peter Riley is a **cornerback/DB** on FIU’s roster with a Miami connection, which gives the Panthers a familiar, in-state defensive back option in a position group that values speed, short-area reaction, and toughness.[1][5] Publicly available roster and stats pages confirm his FIU status and defensive-back role, but do not provide enough recent game production to fairly grade his 2026 on-field form, so the safest read is that he profiles as a **depth-and-development** piece whose value comes from secondary versatility and fit in FIU’s defensive backroom.[1][5][6]
