Bruce Mattox brings veteran-safety energy and a fast, aggressive edge to Morgan State
Bruce Mattox III has been a steady defensive back for Morgan State, and in the 2021 season he was cited as the Bears’ sixth-leading tackler while appearing in every game[1][11]. He’s listed at 6-foot, 180-205 pounds depending on the source, and his own description of his style—“passionate, fast and aggressive”—matches the scouting vibe: physical, instinctive, and not afraid to play downhill[1][3][2]. For a team needing a reliable, high-motor safety who models his game after Ed Reed and Eric Berry, Mattox is a fit worth care about[3].
