veteran Mississippi Valley State DB with proven ball production and steady all-around utility
Farrean Toney brings veteran experience to Mississippi Valley State and has shown playmaking upside in the secondary, with ESPN listing him with 5 total tackles and 1 interception in one stat line and 5 tackles with 4 assists in another, plus returning value in his career profile. A former multi-role player who appeared at both defensive back and athlete earlier in his Valley career, he offers toughness, versatility, and a feel for the game that coaches usually love. The big question for a fit is ceiling: he looks more like a reliable, assignment-sound defender than a pure lockdown headline-maker.
