Joseph Duffield is Manhattan’s heavy-workload righty with real swing-and-miss flashes
In the 2026 season, Duffield has been a durable weekend starter for Manhattan, logging 49.2 innings with 28 strikeouts and a 7.07 ERA, while also taking the ball in key conference spots. The draw is his starter’s frame (6-foot-3, 215 pounds), right-handed profile, and proven ability to work deep enough to give his team innings, even when the command gets shaky. He’s shown punchout upside, but the walk totals and run prevention suggest he’s more “projectable arm with stuff” than finished product—interesting if you want upside, but not a plug-and-play safe bet.
