James Dickey gives UNCG a defense-first frontcourt anchor
James Dickey’s calling card is impact without flash: he rebounds, protects the rim, and finishes efficiently, which made him a valuable interior piece for UNCG when he was in the lineup. In 2019-20 he averaged 6.3 points, led the team with 43 blocks, and shot 57.8% from the field, while earlier UNCG reporting highlighted his high-energy shot blocking and career-best production in key wins.[6][3] If you want a hardworking, physical forward who raises your defensive floor and doesn’t need touches to matter, he fits.
