Maurquice Shakir brings veteran OL depth and proven starting experience to Middle Tennessee
Shakir is a dependable, battle-tested offensive lineman whose value goes beyond size: he started 12 games at right tackle in his first season as a Blue Raider and later earned All-Conference USA honorable mention recognition, signaling real starter-level trust[1][5][7]. At 6-foot-4 and roughly 308 pounds, he profiles as a sturdy tackle with the experience to help stabilize a line, and his return to MTSU as part of the program’s coaching journey suggests strong football IQ and a team-first reputation[2][3][5].
