Jonathan Smith is a depth-piece guard to watch in Jackson State’s trenches
Jonathan Smith is listed on Jackson State’s 2026 football roster as a guard, which usually means he’s being evaluated for interior-line toughness, leverage, and assignment discipline rather than stat-sheet flash. Because no public season stats or detailed scouting notes were surfaced here, the safest read is that he’s a “prove-it in camp” lineman: the kind of player who can win a roster spot by being dependable, physical, and coachable. If your team needs a glue guy with trench temperament, he’s worth a closer look.
