Derrick Maurer brings veteran DB size and continuity to Robert Morris
Maurer is a seasoned Robert Morris defensive back with a safety build at 6'1", 210 lbs and a veteran presence that usually translates into reliable alignment, physical tackling, and steady communication in the back end. His profile suggests a “do-your-job” defender who can help stabilize coverage and support the run, which matters more than splashy stat lines for a safety. For a team looking for an experienced, blue-collar secondary piece rather than a headline-chasing ballhawk, he looks like a sensible fit.
