steady, high-IQ floor general with a pass-first edge
Shelby Dougherty brings guard savvy, composure, and a team-first style that fits a disciplined system. In the 2014-15 season at Northern Colorado, she started all 35 games and finished ranked 20th nationally in assist-turnover ratio while averaging 4.3 assists per game, showing real point-guard control; in 2013-14, she also contributed across the board with 5.3 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The big differentiator: she impacts winning without needing the ball, and her prior injury history is worth checking, but when healthy she looks like a reliable, low-drama connector who can organize an offense and make teammates better.
