Jake Mummau brings contact, speed, and infield versatility to App State
Mummau is a proven college infielder with track-record production: after hitting .271 with 24 RBIs in 2023 at FGCU, he rebounded from a redshirt 2024 to play 48 games at App State in 2025, showing discipline with 19 walks and eight steals in nine attempts. He also appeared on the 2023 Brooks Wallace Award watch list, which marked him as one of Division I’s notable shortstops. His fit is strongest for a team needing a gritty, experienced middle-infield bat who can create pressure on the bases and handle the position cleanly, even if the pure power ceiling is modest.[2][6]
