Axelle Bernard brings veteran size and rebounding savvy to UTEP’s front line
Axelle Bernard is a 6-foot-2 forward who gives UTEP a sturdy, experienced interior presence, with career background that includes strong rebounding and shot-blocking at the junior-college level; in the 2025-26 season, ESPN listed her at 2.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 37.8% shooting. Her value is less about flashy scoring and more about physicality, rim protection, and doing the gritty work that helps a team survive in the paint. If your team wants toughness and reliable effort over highlight-reel volume, she’s a fit.
