Marquez Perez brings veteran big-play juice to UIW’s receiver room
In the 2023 season, Marquez Perez gave UIW a steady veteran presence with 22 catches for 325 yards and 2 touchdowns, after posting 16 receptions for 198 yards and 3 scores in 2022. He’s shown a real knack for chunk plays—his UIW bio notes a 49-yard grab in 2023 and earlier receptions of 46 and 45 yards—so he’s not just moving chains, he’s stressing defenses. The appeal is clear: reliable, experienced, and capable of sudden splash plays, which makes him a smart fit for a team needing a polished complementary WR who can win when the offense needs a spark.
