Cooper Weygandt brings swing-and-miss relief upside for VCU
Cooper Weygandt is a right-handed reliever who gave VCU useful innings in the 2026 season, finishing with 17 strikeouts in 16.2 innings and a 1.56 WHIP while also flashing his ceiling with a 3.0-inning, one-hit, scoreless outing against Longwood on March 31, 2026. He profiles as a pitchability arm with enough strikeout pop to change a game in short bursts, and VCU has trusted him in relief roles. The fit question is straightforward: if a team wants a competitive bullpen arm with upside and no fear factor on the mound, Weygandt is absolutely in the conversation.
